Hotel Residence Moderno

The hotel and staff are terrible. We booked through Smartbox and the day before the stay they asked for an additional fee (20 euros each) after we had already paid 100 euros for 1 night, otherwise they would have canceled the reservation. These 40 euros, as also verified with Smartbox, were not due, and in any case, we were harmed by them canceling the reservation the day before. Shameful is an understatement, absolutely TO BE AVOIDED.

3 weeks spent wonderfully, from my terrace a wonderful view, rooms small but equipped with everything, staff and owners prepared and kind, worth visiting.

Saturday, July 11, 2026, had lunch at Moderno, total disappointment. I had 1 focaccia with bresaola, the focaccia was dry, the bresaola was dark and smelled bad; my daughter's chicken strips with tomatoes and zucchini tasted sour, discarded everything; my husband's bresaola, arugula, and parmesan pizza, the parmesan was sour; the mixed cold cut and cheese board for 4 was a bit skimpy but good; my other daughter's focaccia with brie and salami was fairly good; coffee cream, water, Coca-Cola, €74. I'm sorry, but they won't see me again. I noticed there were few people both outside and inside.
