Agriturismo Villa Bissiniga

Horrible Hotel. It’s clear that the owners just don’t care. everything very rundown. The Terrace was like a broken furniture junk shop the bedroom look like the inside of a 1960s public toilet. The walls were painted a hideous green, which due to the presence of a celadon vase, it was clearly meant to emulate but got badly wrong. The lights were turned off after dark in all corridors leaving you to try and grope your way to your room. The swimming pool was green with Algae. It was a ‘bio’ pool, but so dangerously slippery you could not get in. Only the owners children had mastered the art of sliding on the Algae. The good things were that the bed was comfortable and there was a lovely lady working in the cocktail bar who made me a lovely non-alcoholic cocktail which was greatly appreciated. Very sad because the building has huge potential and the views were beautiful. Only a few miles down the road was a similar building. Villa Arcadio, which approximately the same price got everything right.

A place steeped in history with stunning views of Lake Garda. The food is exceptionally good and it even boasts a wonderful bio pool.

We loved this sweet, funky, friendly agriturismo with beautiful, old-school rooms, a cheery bar and a wonderful all-natural pool to lounge in. breakfast was rather basic but the garden is a lovely place to take it. We loved having products including the delicious olive oil from the farm.
