Beautiful hotel in Colombare just outside Sirmione. We were in room 156 overlooking the front of the hotel with a distant view of the lake. Our twin room had lovely en-suite shower room. Kettle but lacking in plugs and you need an Italian 3 pin plug adapter The food was amazing good selection at breakfast and had to choose main course at breakfast time. What I liked is that the table we were allocated was ours for whole holiday. Not always at breakfast but definitely dinner. We loved the food which was on a weekly rotation. The serving staff were very friendly and good to see of an older age. Only a few youngsters serving which I thought was great to see. The pool was very welcome in the heat. The shuttle bus into Sirmione was great but VERY crowded coming home. Standing room only every time. It’s a nice flat walk though. Using the ferries we visited Desenzano, Bardolino and Lazise. All absolutely beautiful in their own right. Won’t spoil it for others. Go see for yourself. We had a whole day in Sirmione too. It was 36 degrees so our plan of visiting Verona and Venice was shelved! We will go another time less hot! Overall a fantastic holiday we will go back to see the North Lake another time. Enjoy if you’re going soon.

This has been a great holiday, made by our stay at this hotel. It’s a smaller hotel with lovely friendly staff who do so much to make you feel welcome & comfortable. The food has been excellent. We saw in reviews, before we arrived, that you have to make evening meal choices in the morning at breakfast. That’s not a bad thing, as the chef has everything prepared when you return after a day sightseeing and want to be fed quickly. Whilst the choices are not huge, there are several and the menu is changed daily. The food is excellent quality. You will not be disappointed if you enjoy excellent Italian food. Loved the pool area & jacuzzi. Prices ok in the bar & short walking distance from supermarket. Local bus service to old town Sirmione are great - whilst it’s very busy, they usually get everyone on. Rooms comfortable, clean and nice views from all sides. (I would not recommend it for families with small children as there’s not much to do). But for adults - we highly recommend & will return.

Very clean hotel, friendly and helpful staff, excellent and abundant food, top-notch breakfast; I highly recommend it and hope to return.
