Baia Flaminia Resort

Decidedly disappointing stay: very far from a true 4-star hotel We just finished our vacation at the Resort Baia Flaminia and we returned home with a bitter taste in our mouths. A property that calls itself 4-star absolutely cannot offer a level like this. Property, lobby, and elevators: The first impression of the property leaves much to be desired. The lobby on paper would even be beautiful, but it is a pity that the air conditioning was often turned off. The situation worsened in the room hallways and inside the elevator, where the air conditioning was completely nonexistent and you were literally dying of heat. Furthermore, the elevators are old and feel unsafe: they start abruptly and the doors close with a very loud noise. Catering and dining room: The catering service was the real critical point. The dining room looks more like a wedding reception hall, completely out of place for a hotel restaurant. Very poor quality food and a repetitive menu at the bare minimum. The first course buffet was served cold (with the bowls of sauce simply left on the table) and there was a continuous and blatant recycling of leftovers: we were served pieces of cordon bleu offered multiple times and strange concoctions of mayonnaise, vegetables, and fish scraps. The fruit was also a disaster, with watermelon and melon left at room temperature and presented identically from breakfast until dinner. The room and cleanliness: In the room, the situation was unacceptable: a constant and unbearable smell of sewage was coming from the bathroom. The shower was clearly dated, poorly enameled, and had obvious rust spots. Outdated furniture and approximate cleaning, with a clearly visible layer of dust on the television and on the window sills. Pools, SPA, and the "finale" at check-out: The only positive aspects were the pools, which were fairly clean, and the SPA, which in itself is truly wonderful. Too bad about the management, though: not only were we hotel guests prevented from using the lockers (reserved only for outsiders), but to top it all off, at the time of the final bill they even tried to charge us an extra €10, saying it was part of the tourist tax, when in reality it had nothing to do with it! Overall, truly terrible and dishonest management from many points of view. An experience not to be repeated; I strongly advise against this property.

Negative experience. It is absolutely not a 4-star hotel! We just returned from a stay at the Resort Baia Flaminia and the disappointment is indescribable. A property that absolutely does not deserve the 4 stars it claims. ​In the room, there was an excessive and constant stench of sewage coming from the bathroom, with a very old shower, all chipped and with rust. The room furnishings were outdated and there was dust on the window sills and on the television. ​The real disaster was lunch and dinner: The food was repetitive to the max and of terrible quality. Buffet of first courses completely cold (sauce in a bowl on the table) and a continuous recycling of leftovers. It is unacceptable to present cordon bleu cut into small pieces and served multiple times, and mixtures of mayonnaise, vegetables, and leftover fish. Even the fruit was a disgrace: watermelon and melon at room temperature, cut into small pieces and served identical from breakfast to dinner. ​The only positive notes of the vacation were the SPA and the pools, which were fairly clean. For the rest, such management is truly indescribable. Highly unrecommended.

4-star hotel that is not 4 stars. We stayed at this hotel a week ago. There would be many things to tell, I will summarize them: NEGATIVE notes: - old and dirty rooms - towels that smell bad - reception staff who don't even greet you, with a disarming coldness - food served repeatedly for a week - elevator that barely fits two people POSITIVE notes: - bar and dining room staff nice and kind - fairly nice pool - clean and convenient partner beach - breakfast standard Furthermore, if you expect to find a clean sea, forget about it; we might have been unlucky, but luckily there was the pool. Overall an experience to forget; we paid for a 4-star hotel but there wasn't even a trace of those stars. I recommend more smiles, friendliness, and above all, cleanliness!
