Savoy

The only positive note is the breakfast, simply in line with expectations, and the proximity to the sea... everything else needs to be reviewed!!! Disorganized staff, outdated furnishings, rooms not soundproofed with loud noises, of furniture being moved, at 6:30 in the morning... 60s carpet, terrible value for money...

I stayed at the Hotel Savoy from July 22 to 25, paying €394.82 (tourist tax included). During my stay, I saw the same nights drop to €279–310. An unpleasant situation: I was almost mocked by my wife's eyes, seeing the price drop while we were already guests. For a 4-star hotel, many services do not correspond to what is advertised: Large pool always full, impossible to use, located on the second floor of the hotel. Small pool too small, suitable only for children. The gym, spa, and wellness services do not belong to the Savoy, but to another facility, and are available for a fee (€20–40) by reservation. The Ariston restaurant, clearly indicated in the hotel description, no longer exists. There is no internal restaurant, despite it still being shown as an included service. Disappointing value for money, with services not up to the category and an inconsistent pricing policy. Only positive note: Annalisa and Dorin at the reception, professional and kind, who made an otherwise unsatisfactory stay more human.

Disappointing hotel. I was here for a few days and I expected much more, considering that it is supposed to be a 4-star hotel. The toilet flush doesn't work, or rather, you have to stand there for at least 30 seconds, continuing to press it in a loop until it works. The bathtub shower head also barely worked, with a super stiff handle. The room is not soundproofed at all; you can hear everything, from the furniture being moved (even at 7 in the morning) on the floor above, to the flushing of the other rooms' toilets. Nice pool, too bad the two hot tubs don't work. The carpet is very 60s style; it is probably actually old. The only positive things are the kind staff and the varied breakfast, which ranges from sweet to savory, with hot and cold drinks to choose from. Overall, however, I do not recommend it, at least not for someone looking for a 4-star hotel.
