Let's start with the positive aspects: the spacious room, the central location. The decor is a bit dated, the breakfast quite standard, especially regarding the sweet options. We also stayed for dinner one evening. Food was average, but an experience not to be repeated. The service is overbearing; you can't get distracted for a moment without ending up having your plate taken away. Service time is evidently a fundamental goal for them. What a stress. There was a misunderstanding regarding the failure to clean the room on one of the days of our stay. Things that shouldn't happen but do happen; the important thing is knowing how to fix them. I would say to invest in this. Cleanliness also needs to be improved, particularly of the bedspread. I'm not saying I wouldn't return, but I would avoid breakfast or dinner. There was no minibar in the room despite it being a 4-star hotel. Well.

The hotel is historic in Sauze: it has been in operation for at least 40 years, perhaps more (I have been visiting the town for more or less the same number of years), and has gone through various management teams. Today it is in the hands of the ABC group, which I believe manages 90% of the beds in Sauze. In my opinion, the 4 stars are a relic of the past: today the property shows all the signs of aging (furnishings, bathroom, floors, dining room). The location is in the main square: you have to take into account that there are establishments all around, so until two in the morning there may be noise related to the businesses present (not necessarily a bad thing). I found the bed comfortable. Cleanliness is average. There is no fridge in the room (not great in the summer). Cleanliness is average. Courteous staff. Breakfast was a bit disappointing: the buffet was full but had zero local products (when in town, there is a great bakery three minutes away on foot, a local cheese counter, and ten steps away every morning). As for parking, it is true that there isn't any, but in Sauze in the summer, parking is free everywhere except for those right in the center (there is a very large three-story parking lot five minutes away). For those who want to park in front of the hotel, the maximum daily cost is 7 euros. Chosen mostly for the convenience of the location, let's just say that after trying this hotel in Sauze, I like others better.

Magnificent hotel with large rooms and hearty and tasty breakfasts. We had dinner at the restaurant and it is a pleasant surprise! We will be back very soon!
