Well what can I say? I'm not a fussy traveller and I was not expecting a 5 star experience but a Bail hostel maybe a be a better way to describe this place! This hotel needs pulling down its awful, dirty rooms, stained mattresses, pillows and filthy run down bathrooms. The food is also horrendous - do not eat here! If you are on a tight budget and want to go skiing then my advice would be to save up, go next year and STAY somewhere else!
To end on a positive the receptionist at the hotel was lovely and very helpful during our stay

Stayed here for a short break with some friends that like to do things on a budget. The room was spacious, warm and clean with a comfortable large bed.The bathroom was large and we had plenty of hot water as long as you remember to put the immersion on in the morning. Everything is pretty basic here (including the breakfasts) but what do you expect for the cheapest hotel in the resort? The receptionists where very helpful but the breakfast staff didn't speak English and were not very quick at replenishing the food, but you just have to ask!
It is not far from the lift but it's a bit uphill most of the way, so knowing this from a previous trip here, we hired ski/boot storage at the lift (online, along with our skis, before we went with sauzeonline.com) and it was a blessing. You can always get the ski bus which stops about 50 yards from the hotel.
Also the parking is in front of the hotel in the car park which was not free. We parked our car just outside of the central area for free and had no problem (on the road near the last big roundabout where you turn right to get to the hotel).
When organising a budget break for the same crowd of people I would stay here again but on my own I would pay more and stay somewhere else.

Spent a few days here. Most of the other reviews are in my opinion accurate. On the positive side, the staff are friendly, the room was warm, the shower worked (for 2 people) and it was close to town. But, it is a very tired hotel, with large cracks in the walls. The bed is OK. Breakfast was typically Italian - basic. But, make sure you ask for fresh coffee rather than take the dreadful pre-mix coffee in the pot. The hotel worked for us - we were not looking for a smart room, just a cheapish bed to spend some time between skiing and having a couple of beers.
