Etoile de Neige

We spent two nights for a weekend skiing with family and friends. The premise is that the price is reduced compared to what is found in the valley, which makes it mandatory to calibrate comments based on this. The hotel is a dated two star and an upgrade would be necessary, but the rooms and bathrooms are just the right size and are clean. The ski room is simple but comfortable, the common areas of the bar and billiard/game room are also clean and adequate for capacity. The only real thing I would recommend to do is to remove the carpet in the rooms and corridors... it would be an upgrade that with a simple painted in the right colors would make a difference. The location is good considering that a short distance away there is the start of the white peaks, reachable by car in two minutes or by bus. The breakfast was good. The staff is friendly. I expected something better from the restaurant, in the sense that I would have preferred to have a smaller choice but local products rather than an extensive list of products that wink at a higher restaurant that seemed inconsistent with the context. We haven't tried pizza. However positive overall assessment.

We stayed for 6 days half board we were fine friendly staff and unpretentious rooms sufficiently comfortable. The only negative note we were mistakenly charged a dinner for 2 (60 euros) and when we realized from the invoice that was sent to us, and not delivered to payment, we wrote an email (the day after returning) to point out the error and we were told that it was not possible to verify. A bit strange since the overnight stay was 6 nights and dinners were 7. Poorly correct, but was it worth it? Besides, it was the second time we went.
