I Gelsi

The hotel now goes by the name Hotel Lago Maggiore. Rooms are clean although a little bit dated and there wasn't any shampoo; also, only one socket worked and there were no light bulbs in the lamps by the beds. Rooms overlooking the street are very loud because of the traffic, day and night. Breakfast was poor, everything was packaged with no fresh food. Bring cash as they do not accepts cards, even if on the website they say they do.

I do not agree with the overall comments. The rooms are clean. I've been in worse 4 stars places hotels. It's nice to spend only a couple of nights in here between flights or for shopping. The service is good and nice people.

Well that was probably the worst hotel I have ever stayed in! The room was very unclean, not even sure if they had washed the bed sheets since the previous occupants! The staff were very unfriendly and rude, in no way helpful at all! The food was very poor and unappetising, had better grub at a lorry stop! I would advise everyone to steer clear of this hotel!!!
