Arbatax Park-Cottage

Very beautiful and well-maintained park, the park villas where we stayed were very beautiful, a bit far from the services and the beach; despite the presence of a shuttle, it was practically never possible to take it because it was always full. At the reception, many of the young men and women struggle to speak Italian; the information they provided us was not very clear or precise. Chaos often reigned in the dining room, many waiters were very kind, many others were rude. Pool bar management was very chaotic; a 20-minute wait to get a coffee is honestly too long. The prices at the restaurants and the bar inside the park are very high. We have two teenage boys, but we never saw any entertainment for them.

I have been visiting the Arbatax Park Resort, Cottage area, for many years and unfortunately this year I noticed a significant decline in quality, probably due to the change in management. The thing that disappointed me the most concerns the relaxation pool, which should be reserved for guests of the Cottages and Villas by the Sea. Although it is still stated upon arrival and reported in the brochure, this rule is not enforced: the lifeguards are inattentive and often do not intervene, so the pool is full of children with inflatable rings and mats, playing with balls and making noise, completely losing its function as a relaxation area. The quality of the restaurant dedicated to the Cottages remains excellent. For the rest, I found a lot of disorganization: electronic payments often impossible due to ongoing network issues, the wellness center largely non-functional (sauna aside, steam room almost without steam, cold hot tubs, and several closed areas) and friendly staff but who appear poorly trained. The area of the park with the animals remains very nice. To use the canoes, we were bounced from one side of the village to the other without clear directions... It is a shame to see that many of the strengths of the previous management have not been maintained. I hope the new ownership can bring the resort back to the standards that made it a truly special place.
