AMAZING GM-ALESSANDRO we started off a little bumpy and the GM (who is apparently knew to this hate but not to the industry ) went out of his way-above and beyond to make sure we were happy and had a good experience -our last couple of days were fantastic thanks to him You absolutely need to rent a car -there are amazing restaurants in Porto Rotundo which is pretty close-nice to see Porto Cervo but the people there think they more rich and famous then the people in Capri .Hotel has a TON of Kids and if you prefer adult only this is not a good match -most of them have one nanny per child . Breakfast is fantastic and the servers and managers and hostess are very nice Our favorite meal in our entire Italy trip was last night

This is the second consecutive year that we have stayed at the Hotel Abi d’Oru. Our choice is not only due to the privileged position of this property, overlooking the wonderful Gulf of Marinella, but also to the quality of the entire complex, the comfort of the rooms, the excellent service, and the extraordinary kindness of all the staff, both in the hotel and on the beach, always available to satisfy, as far as possible, every need of the guests. We felt welcomed and pampered at every moment of our stay. It is a place to which one returns with pleasure and which we recommend without hesitation. In the meantime, we are already thinking about returning next summer.

As loyal customers who have been choosing your establishment for years, I wanted to share with you a constructive analysis of what we encountered this year. Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. The point I would like to firmly emphasize is that, in the face of an increase in the cost of the stay, we encountered a significant reduction and worsening of the services offered. In a hotel that we have always considered a benchmark, this imbalance is not acceptable. Below I list the critical points encountered: Booking management: The process was not very straightforward and was frustrating, with late responses and incomprehensible rate management: following our request for a discount, we were offered a rate higher than the initial quote. Beach services and professionalism: Beach management was, until last year, one of your highlights. Mariano represented an invaluable added value: his professionalism ensured that no customer ever left unhappy. Unfortunately, the current manager is not up to this legacy. We noted with disappointment that, instead of assisting guests, you spend your time eating ice cream with the off-duty staff. To this are added: the removal of essential services for our comfort (such as the possibility of consuming meals on the beach, the pinsa is no longer available, the absence of ice service for water, and the prohibition of consuming food under the umbrella), the suspension of the welcome afternoon snack time (ice cream or iced tea), and, finally, poor Wi-Fi coverage on the beach, especially on the left side, which needs to be boosted. Umbrella management: Seeing the first four rows of umbrellas desolately empty because they are reserved for suites, while customers are confined from the fifth row onwards, conveys a negative image. More dynamic management is needed, one that does not penalize the guest by leaving large areas unused. Hotel services and breakfast: We noted with disappointment that services previously included, such as pancakes, are now for a fee and the attention to small details has faded, such as the gummy candy corner (in the lobby), which for us was a pleasant custom. Furthermore, even the room tidying service was lacking, given that upon our return we did not even find the complimentary water bottles replenished. Dining room management: The behavior of the dining room manager remains a critical point: the reprimands and orders given to the staff in front of customers are not appropriate for a classy environment and make the atmosphere unpleasant. We are very attached to the Abidoru, but the discrepancy between what we paid and what we actually received this year has left us very bitter. I am writing these observations precisely because, as loyal customers, we would like to find that excellence that once drove us to choose you.
