Residence Costa Serena

The Stella Maris complex is a very outdated park where renovation is needed. Apartments are rented from various private owners. The complex was built in the 1970s and has never had an upgrade. That means they're noisy. Equipped with little comfort. Outdated kitchens and bathrooms. The sockets do not fit earthed plugs from, for example, the coffee maker. There is no to inadequate internet. We have used two apartments and in both no kettle or coffee machine and no microwave. In order to function as an apartment you would also have to be able to cook yourself. The pool could not be used because of a maintenance??

Comfortable rooms if somewhat dated decor. The pool being closed was a bit annoying, as this should surely depend on weather not time of year. It was still 34 degrees the days we were there but the pool had been shut a few days earlier at the end of the season. Staff were really lovely and helpful.

Unlike as advertised the accommodation did not come with air conditioning. The double bed wasn't quite the double bed we were picturing as it was a double pull-out bed. Would have provided the place with 3* if it wasn't for their dishonesty in their advertising. The accommodation was 5km from the main porto pollo beach which provided us with the opportunity to walk to and from there to allow us both to drink at the beach party located at Rupi's Bar (well worth the visit!). The walk as expected was quite long taking us about 1 hour each way.
