This place is absolutely hilarious and incredibly entertaining! It is dining out on past fame. It is very dated, totally overpriced and they seem to employe the rudest staff they can find which starts with the bell boys at the entrance. The staff have delusions of grandeur. Like i say, it's hilarious how pretentious the place is. There are far better places to stay and far better places to enjoy a drink for example. Forgive me here, but the clientele are just as preposterous (i'm aware that i was a guest here too). They just want to strut around full of their own importance and try and look 'expensive'. It's like a comedy sketch frankly!

The Cala di Volpe is without question a dreamlike hotel. We would especially like to highlight the staff who really enriched our stay: Davide & Misha from the Grand Restaurant Paolo, Valentina, Aleksandra & Andrea from the bar, Simone from Matsuhisa Giovanni, Daniele and Mauro from the concierge Ronni from reception as well as Eleanor and Priscilla. Thank you very much for your warmth and the great service! Unfortunately, there are also a few things that simply do not fit a hotel of this category. The fitness center is really a problem. Rain leaks in, the benches and the floor get wet, and there are holes and damaged areas everywhere. Unfortunately, it is not clean either, and mirrors are missing. How is one supposed to work out properly there? Especially when the hotel is closed in the winter, there is time to fix such things. We had a week of rain and had to realize that there are hardly any indoor activities. Outdoor pools, outdoor kids club, and the beach are unfortunately not much help in bad weather. The private beach was also not yet open. For a luxury resort, the amenities should, in my opinion, be fully usable at the start of the season. Our room was beautifully furnished, but simply much too small for two weeks. The toilet is also very cramped and not particularly well designed. In addition, the rooms were extremely noisy due to the connecting door. It was also very disappointing for us that the babysitting service is only offered for children three years and older – without exception. We were at the hotel for two weeks and were therefore unable to have dinner together as a couple even once. If we had known that beforehand, we probably would have chosen a different hotel. It is a shame, because the Cala di Volpe has a fantastic location and great staff. I just wonder if those in charge ever experience certain areas themselves as guests. A few nights in your own room or a workout in the gym would probably make some problems visible. The Beefbar and Matsuhisa were absolute highlights for us – excellent food and truly great service. Everything was just perfect there in particular. Once again, many thanks to the truly great staff ❣️

Had an aperitif at the Atrium of the Cala Di Volpe. Exhilarating experience. Everything fantastic. Final treat of amazing chocolates!
