New Barcavela

A very, very beautiful musical evening under the moonlight. A sore point is the security, who, due to an initial disagreement, slapped a guy twice, in addition to punching the rear left window and hitting the side mirror, fortunately not causing damage to the driver's car, who had nothing to do with the matter, all in the parking area and while they were leaving. I am sorry to have to leave a review the first time I went there.

I want to share my experience; the bouncer service acted without a shred of respect. A person in my car was literally slapped because of the ego of one of your employees, who, while we were leaving (ordered to do so by the DK bouncer service), slapped a person inside the car to show he was the bigger man. I hope with all my heart that the DK service no longer works in Cagliari and the surrounding areas because the employees take liberties as if they were law enforcement. I am sorry to have to write this review about the hotel, but they did not want to name any security company. This is definitely our last evening at the New Barca Vela. I am sorry because the place is very nice, but I cannot be afraid of individuals who abuse their power and do not respect the job they are assigned.

As other travelers have already mentioned, the hotel is showing its age. In our opinion, the property has great potential, but it is not being utilized at all: Only a very monotonous breakfast is offered (only pizza bread, the same side dishes every day, few hot dishes, lots of sweets), no restaurant, no bar, no aperitif possible; in general, there is actually only the pool as entertainment on the property. Also, the beach loungers are way too expensive, even compared to other, nicer beaches. Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio does not work for us either But there are bright spots: The room service is the best we have ever had. These employees put so much effort into it every morning that we are always surprised and always feel very comfortable in the fresh room anew. The one waitress at breakfast is also very attentive, remembers orders from previous visits, so that the right, delicious coffee is already on the table in the morning.
