It is difficult to put into words just how much we loved our stay at this resort. We have travelled quite a lot, and we can honestly say that we have never been treated as well as we were here. From the very first moment until the day we left, every member of staff was incredibly kind, attentive and welcoming. No matter where we went within the resort, we were always greeted with a smile and made to feel genuinely at home.
The resort itself is simply spectacular. We loved all the restaurants we tried — the quality of the food, the service and the variety were all excellent. Having so many great dining options within the resort made the experience even more special.
The private beach is absolutely stunning. The water was around 27°C at the end of September, which made the beach days even more enjoyable. The resort's saltwater pools were also fantastic, and the spa was one of our favourite places: several saltwater pools and hot jacuzzis, perfect for relaxing.
Our visit to La Maddalena was also absolutely incredible and made our stay in Sardinia even more memorable.
Overall, we felt so comfortable and so well looked after that it genuinely felt like being at home — just in paradise. This was, without a doubt, an unforgettable honeymoon and a place we will remember very fondly.
There are, however, a few things we feel could be improved:
Do Not Disturb / privacy: on several occasions, the Do Not Disturb sign on our door was not respected, both by the housekeeping team and by the person responsible for delivering water to the rooms. These are two different teams, and it happened with both. We completely understand the intention is to provide excellent service, but when a guest puts the DND sign on the door, the expectation is that they will not be disturbed by anyone, except in a genuine emergency.
Blackout curtains: quite a lot of light comes into the rooms from underneath the curtains early in the morning. By around 7am it was already very difficult to continue sleeping. Thankfully, I had brought an eye mask with me, but we do feel that the blackout system could be improved, especially for a resort of this standard.
Food allergy: we had one less positive experience during dinner at the Grecale Restaurant. We informed the restaurant in advance that my husband is allergic to seafood, and we mentioned it again when we arrived. Despite this, the first dish he was served contained prawns. Thankfully, the team handled the situation quickly and prepared a new dish, replacing the prawns with fish, but we felt there was a lack of attention to this particular detail, especially as we had mentioned it three times.
Despite these points, which we genuinely hope will be taken as opportunities for improvement, our overall experience was absolutely fantastic. These details certainly do not take away from everything wonderful we experienced during our stay.
Thank you to the entire team for giving us such a special honeymoon. We went home with incredible memories and already feel like we would love to come back.

Licciola hotel is a perfect place. The hotel is very beautiful, the nature is amazing, the service is very professional and the beaches and the sea is great for relaxation and swimming. If you like swimming in the sea and snorkelling , this is the place to be. You can also easily find a secret well protected sun chair along the long coastline. The food is of very good quality . The ingredients are very fresh and healthy. The gluten free food is ample and well marked. The rooms are clean, the bed is perfect. We have visited the resort two times and will certainly return.
