This is now our sixth stay at this truly exceptional place, and somehow it continues to impress us every single time. The natural setting is simply breathtaking, with some of the clearest and most beautiful water you could hope to find anywhere in Europe. What makes Capo Boi particularly special, however, is its wonderful team – genuinely warm, attentive and authentic – together with consistently excellent food. It is wonderful to know that a place of such beauty still exists in Europe. I probably shouldn’t say too much more, though – otherwise too many people might discover it. A true hidden gem, and one we will happily return to again and again. The Grubhofer family

We spent 6 nights from 08/16 to 08/22 at the Falkensteiner Capo Boi and it was a magnificent experience. Truly beautiful resort, on the sea with a private beach and obviously the wonderful sea typical of these areas of Sardinia (sunbeds always available, only the first row is for a fee) with well-kept lawns and gardens, three pools one more beautiful than the other, one of which is for children, a bar in one of the pools, a restaurant on the beach for lunch which becomes fusion in the evening (Kento) for those who prefer a different dinner. For the half-board plan, however, there is a buffet dinner under the stars in the central square of the Hotel, facing the sea with soft live music, personally I loved this moment. The hotel, despite being very exclusive and relaxing, is perfect for those who, like us, were traveling with children (our daughter is 3 and a half years old), many activities are organized (discreetly) during the day but also in the evening around 8:00 PM such as outdoor cinema or small parties with music and entertainment, furthermore there is also a small farm with donkeys and ponies. Our daughter had a lot of fun. One of the strong points of the Resort is the service, it is certainly not as big as other hotels in the area, which makes it even more exclusive in its attention to the customer, but managing a seaside resort so well is not simple. I have rarely seen this type of professionalism from every single person who works there, everyone always smiling, kind and ready to satisfy every single customer request. I wanted to thank in particular the waiters assigned to our table, Valentino (whom we had the pleasure of having also during the lunch shift when we ate at the beach restaurant) and Samuele who every evening recommended Sardinian wines, each one better than the last, furthermore Michele, responsible for the organization of the buffet restaurant for dinner, you are very good and you work with your heart, always continue like this, thank you for everything. Another thing that struck me was the quality of the food, from breakfast to lunch on the beach (a la carte) and especially the evening buffet, everything was delicious, I don't think I have ever eaten so well in a hotel in my life. In particular, it is not easy to manage a buffet in the evening, confusion can be created, but instead everything was impeccable, nothing ever out of place, everything perfect and very clean, first courses prepared on the spot and a grill for fish and meat, spectacular. Spacious and comfortable rooms, ours also had a large terrace perfect for relaxing in the evening. Here is a small note, our room type was a junior suite, this type of room should generally have a separate sitting area, but here two sofas were placed against the wall and canopy bed curtains that, if opened, separated the rooms (obviously we kept them closed), nothing serious but in my opinion, given how the rooms are structured, it is better to remove one of the two sofas that take up space. Another thing, sandy beach as well as the seabed, as I said beautiful, but between the shoreline and the sea there is a small stretch with some stones that in some places is not very comfortable for entering the water. They explained to me that they were brought by currents due to bad weather in recent months and since it is a nature reserve they cannot be removed. Small things that do not in the least affect the judgment. Magnificent hotel where, as soon as we have the opportunity, we will definitely return.

We had a wonderful family vacation at the Falkensteiner Capo Boi. The resort is located in a dreamily beautiful spot, with a great beach and wonderfully clear water. We also liked the layout of the resort very much: The paths between the villas, the hotel, the restaurants, pools, and the beach are pleasantly short. Especially with children, that is very practical. An absolute highlight for us was the childcare. It is organized in a very warm, informal, and flexible manner. The children can join at any time and also leave again, without rigid programs or complicated check-in and check-out procedures. The staff members were great in their interactions with the children. For us, this great childcare contributed significantly to the fact that we as a family were able to spend a truly relaxing vacation. We also experienced the staff throughout the entire resort as very friendly and accommodating. The very high proportion of trainees is noticeable, but they were also consistently friendly, eager, and helpful. However, we view the positioning as a five-star hotel somewhat more critically. Compared to five-star establishments, such as those we know from Switzerland, Germany, or Austria, for example, the corresponding details are missing in various places. The reception, for example, was nice, but it lacks a host who welcomes you personally and warmly and gives the establishment a face. Even small things like missing cloth towels in the public restrooms do not quite fit the standards of this category for us. We found some regulations, where it is obviously being attempted to generate additional revenue, less understandable. At dinner, for example, the dessert buffet is included; if you want an ice cream for the children instead, it is charged separately. We found the policy at the beach even more incomprehensible: Sun loungers and umbrellas are generally included – however, anyone who wants to lie in the front row pays an additional EUR 100 per day for it. Accordingly, the front row was often largely empty. At a hotel of this category and price range, such a policy simply leaves the wrong impression in our view. Dinner is generally only available in buffet form, unless you visit the separate à la carte restaurant. The buffet itself is good, very varied, and offers a large selection. But it remains just a buffet – and thus, naturally, many dishes that would have to be freshly prepared à la minute are omitted. At the grill, we also found it a shame that the grill master could never tell us which cut of meat he currently had on the grill. The information was limited to beef, veal, or pork. The quality was also not always consistent; some meat was unfortunately extremely tough. Anyone who would like to eat in the separate restaurant instead also receives no credit for the dinner already paid for as part of the half-board. We find that rather petty for a five-star hotel. One point should, in our view, definitely be improved: The lifeguard at the children's pool was sometimes sleeping with EarPods in his ears. Especially at a children's pool, that is, of course, not acceptable for a person who is responsible for safety. At the same time, another lifeguard reacted in a super helpful way when our son cut his chin and it started bleeding (although... the scissors he wanted to use to cut the bandage were full of rust...). Despite these points of criticism, we had a really great time at Capo Boi. It is a beautiful property, the staff is very friendly, and the resort offers a great deal, especially for families with children. Our children felt completely at ease, and the combination of a beautiful beach, short distances, and the excellent, uncomplicated childcare contributed significantly to a relaxing family vacation. It is a resort that we look back on very fondly and to which we will also return. For true five stars, in our view, however, some details in service and certain regulations that seem somewhat petty would need to be reconsidered.
