Grand Capo Boi

We were at Bar Sudoki for an aperitif; the service was impeccable, the cocktails were delicious, and the staff was polite and friendly. Manuela was very polite and explained the cocktails to us. Giulia the barlady was also excellent at preparing them. Everything was excellent.

We ended up here on a recommendation. A truly beautiful location right on the beach. Appetizers were okay. Then came prawns for €32 with a maximum of 30 g of prawn meat. No further words necessary. But a good view is not everything.

I stayed at the Falkensteiner Resort Capo Boi in August together with my wife and our three-year-old daughter and I can say it without hesitation: it is the most beautiful property where I have ever spent a vacation. My wife and I are rather demanding people and, especially when we spend significant amounts, if something does not work we have no problem pointing it out to the staff or even to the manager. Usually we leave properties of this level with some small “buts.” This time, however, we left sorry that the vacation was over, thanking and hugging the staff. The courtesy and professionalism of everyone are truly incredible. The organization of the activities is excellent and the agenda is so rich that it is almost impossible to get bored. A special round of applause goes to the entertainment staff. They were fantastic for our daughter: they involved her from early in the morning and throughout the day in activities at the pool, with animals, workshops, tennis, sports, swimming, and so much more. And in the evening they continued with dinner dedicated to the children, the baby dance, and even the outdoor cinema. Our daughter loved Falky, the resort's mascot!! Regarding the children's dinner, I read in some reviews that it was very limited, with one or two courses. I honestly don't know which restaurant they were referring to: I saw an entire area of the restaurant dedicated to children, with a buffet with at least 10 different dishes, abundant and varied, with the entertainment staff who also entertained them during dinner. Hard to ask for more. The food for adults was also exceptional. Incredible breakfast and spectacular dinners, with a different Italian region as a theme every evening. Truly remarkable quality and variety. I also read several criticisms about the beach organization, related to the fact that you have to arrive early to find a sunbed. Frankly, it seems like a really flimsy criticism to me: it is normal that those who arrive first can choose the best spot, but we are talking about three/four rows of umbrellas and, in the worst-case scenario, a few more meters from the sea. The sea remains beautiful, despite the strong storm surge at the beginning of the year having reduced the amount of sand on the beach. But with everything the resort offers, in the end the beach becomes almost secondary. And so I really struggle to understand some reviews of less than five stars, especially when they focus on details so marginal compared to the overall experience. Some criticisms seemed frankly incomprehensible to me. For us, it was a vacation well beyond expectations, even considering the price. Five stars without any hesitation because you can't give more.
