Country Hotel Casina di Grotta di Ferro

Our stay with Franco and Consuela was absolutely great. Super hosts who made our stay very enjoyable. Friendly help with booking restaurants, giving recommendations and lending beach equipment. Casina Grotta di Ferro is a beatiful place to stay - we enjoyed the two top floor suites with our own balcony. Nice pool and yard area with good kitchen area. This is a rustic old country house, renovated to accommodate guests in a relaxed atmosphere. In the middle of the Sicilian countryside, away from the crowds, in complete silence. Run by a friendly family that is happy to guide you and advise you on anything regarding south-east Sicily. Signora Carmella is an excellent cook, as a typical Italian “mamma” should be. We had a great week!

This was an excellent stay. Exceptional views and exceptional place. I would recommend to stay in the suites..the view is exceptional. It goes back in time and the place is done up with great taste. The breakfast is fresh produce. To top it all the host Franco and his wife are exceptional. One feels truly at home. He even prepared bfast for us at 6 am...very serene and calm. I want to return asap...
