La Dimora di Spartivento

We booked this believing it was an Agriturismo so were horrified to arrive & find a "Best Western" sign! And our initial feelings weren't helped by a disinterested receptionist & the clinically modern rooms. It's also located right next to a busy road, although somewhat hidden & there was no disturbing road noise noticed. All that said, the rooms were very clean & functional. We were obviously unlucky with our check in receptionist because all the other staff were, without fail, delightful, friendly, knowledgeable & helpful. Breakfast was okay, a typical Italian buffet, although the selection felt more supermarket than farm in origin, but the ladies running it were also delightful. The location is ideal if you have your own car, as it's great for exploring the surrounding area & towns. And the view from the pool & the terrace outside the breakfast room is beautiful. If they served more local produce & gave the rooms a little more character then this could easily be a 4 star.

A little way out of Ragusa but that can be its attraction. It has large grounds, plenty of parking and small groups seem to come here too. Staff are exceptional and friendly as well. Breakfast is good. Room is spacious regardless of suite or standard. Beds are a little firm for me but my husband didn’t mind that. Choose a room away from road and downstairs.

Very elegant and well contextualized structure, with attention to detail and excellent services. Very clean, with infinity pool overlooking the sea, quiet and perfect for a relaxing weekend away from the hustle and bustle of the big cities. Breakfast varied and very pleasant for all tastes, helpful and very friendly staff. Very close to the major attractions to be reached by car. Highly recommended to give yourself a few days of rest
