La Moresca

Let's start by saying that the property is very nice, well-maintained, and has an enviable location, being truly just a stone's throw from the promenade and the sea; the staff is truly friendly and helpful. That is where the positive things end. Arriving at the property on Wednesday in the late morning, we were greeted by a young woman who let us store our luggage inside and offered us the chance to change and go to the beach, since the room would be ready from 3:00 PM onwards; I asked where I could park the car, and the young woman told me that there was a large parking lot available a little further up from the property, advising me to park in the white lines, which are completely free, unlike the blue ones. So I took the suggestion and parked the car exactly where I was told. This morning (Saturday the 22nd) at 9:30 AM, we left the room early to be courteous to the staff, and I went to retrieve the car, but upon my arrival, it was not there. Panic; I called the property and explained what happened to the same young woman who had given me the suggestion days earlier (I must premise that she is a truly helpful and decent employee), and she replied that it had probably been towed because on Tuesdays and Fridays they hold a market in that parking lot; here I was left stunned, asking her why she hadn't warned me on the day of my arrival; she admitted to having forgotten to tell me, but I was told that it is written on the signs. In my opinion, this is misinformation because, not being from the area, I trust what I am told, so I walked back to the property and was accompanied by the owner's husband to pick up the car at the impound lot, and as soon as he arrived, the guy left, leaving me there as if it were no longer his business. I returned to the property and asked to speak with the owner, who was not present; we called her repeatedly, but she answered us after about twenty minutes. I will not detail the entire discussion here, but to summarize, the lady was absolutely not inclined to remedy what happened or to accommodate the customer in any way. The crucial point of this unpleasant episode is the inaccurate information provided by the staff, also confirmed by the tow truck guy, who reiterated the poor information provided by the area's hoteliers regarding these incidents. Lastly, from 09:30 we left the facility at 11:45 without being understood and with a €111.00 fine.

Unstaffed property. Reception absent and in any case not available after 8:00 PM. Vintage air conditioning, noisy and not adjustable. Safe not working. Breakfast at a bare minimum, little variety and not of quality.

Beautiful historic location a stone's throw from the center and the sea, friendly staff not to mention the owners who are wonderful people.
