President Park

We arrived for a three-night stay after our flights were cancelled, and unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. The rooms were clean but extremely basic. There were no facilities for making hot drinks, no drawers for clothing, and only a small wardrobe. The rooftop breakfast terrace was closed, as were the pool and cocktail bar. The main hotel bar is small and deep within the hotel but is the only option for getting a drink whilst by the pool. The fitness centre was very basic and appeared dirty, and the outdoor tables were also not clean. On arrival, we were given no information about the hotel or its facilities. In contrast, other guests attending a conference were personally shown to their rooms and given comprehensive information. Pool towels were available, but we were told to find the lifeguard ourselves, who was nowhere to be seen. At breakfast, there were only two waitresses serving more than 100 guests, along with just one bartender, which resulted in poor service. When we asked reception for a kettle for our room, as other rooms appeared to have them, the staff were rude and unhelpful. The pool itself was very dirty, with damaged tiles, which was particularly disappointing. There are signs stating you can not bring in any outside food or drink as the hotel has a minimart which unfortunately does not exist. Overall, while we appreciated that the hotel was able to accommodate us following our cancelled flights, the standard of the facilities, cleanliness, service and overall experience did not meet what we would expect from a four-star hotel. Unfortunately, we would not recommend this hotel and certainly would not consider it to be a four-star property.

Service was quite excellent; the transport from the hotel to the Catania airport was the least expensive of all. We had problems with a rented scooter company and the hotel lifeguard came to pick us up totally for free. Very friendly, nice, and helpful. Fabrizio the lifeguard and the manager are excellent, they know how to do their job perfectly like the rest of the President Park team. Excellent, I highly recommend it.

Great rooms, tidy and clean, excellent breakfast, too bad lunch is not provided, the pool area is also excellent, and the staff is kind and helpful.
