Hotel Palladio

Absolute nightmare. Do not stay here, you've been warned. Would give negative stars is possible. We were willing to look past the dated rooms, but when there was a sewer back up making our room literally uninhabitable; how the proprietor treated us and the situation was vile. The proprietor is more concerned about her profit than her guests. The hotel quite literally had a sewage backup, the room was uninhabitable; when we complained the staff came to our room and was gagging alongside us. They called the city to pump it out and put some air fresheners as a temporary fix; which it obviously was not. We asked for another room but they didn't have one and just shrugged, we asked if they could book us another room at a different hotel nearby and they also said no. We said fine, we have to leave, and demanded a refund. The owner refused, "I won't have time to get another booking" - what does that have to do with anything? The city literally had to be called to pump out the sewage. Owner's name is Valentino and despite it all, she refused to provide a refund claiming she won't make as much money. We're filing a complaint with the municipality and the tourism center and everything else; she shouldn't be in business at all if that's her mentality. She also said, "I had to pay 400 EUROS to pump it out because of you guys" - as though it's our fault the run down hotel had a backup? Absolutely unacceptable.

Fantastic stay at Hotel Palladio: sea view, spacious and colorful rooms, friendly and super helpful staff!

The staff could not be nicer nor more accommodating! Clean and accessible to all. Very convenient location even to get to Taormina. Loved the sheets all cotton white ,& pristine. We had a balcony with ocean view and it included breakfast!
