Having been driven through local back streets by our taxi driver, we weren't sure what to expect but the hotel is lovely inside. With just 19 rooms over 3 floors it is nice and quiet. We received a warm welcome from the young lady on reception who was happy to talk us through local attractions that we wanted to visit - none of these are more than a 10 minute walk away so ideal if you want to be at the centre of things but to have some peace once back at your hotel.
Our room had the most beautiful four poster bed and there was a fridge and safe available. The bathroom was a little tired but fine. The restaurant on the top floor has views over the city - we ate dinner out and didn't have breakfast as we were heading to the airport so can't say what the food is like.
Would happily recommend and would stay again if in Catania.
