Hotel Villa Augustus

I strongly advise against this property. First night in a triple room invaded by the stench of sewage and with an iron cot instead of the third bed. Terrible breakfast service with frozen and canned food. Unprepared regarding intolerances: to get lactose-free eggs, we were treacherously charged a €5 supplement per portion, even though the reception had assured us they were free. Faced with our protests, the manager literally ran out the back just to avoid facing us. Only after a formal written complaint did he remove the surcharge, absurdly asking us to keep it "secret" from the staff. Total disorganization, zero transparency, and no customer care. Dangerous for those with dietary requirements.

Charming hotel. A bit outdated, but you can see that it was a grand manor house. Comfortable, a more than respectable buffet breakfast, well-equipped room, and a dreamlike indoor garden!!! Ideally located as well!!! BRAVO

We were fortunate to occupy one of the ground floor rooms around a delightful tropical garden in the afternoons. Our room and bathroom were large, very comfortable, and the cleaning was impeccable. Welcoming and professional staff. However, there is indeed no elevator to access the upper floors. Satisfactory buffet breakfast. We appreciated the slightly old-fashioned charm of this hotel with its collections of antique objects arranged here and there.
