Positives Great location situated just off the main street in Taormina. Staff were friendly & approachable, teaching us how to say our room number in italian & some of the lovely breakfast cakes were made by Nancy a staff member, who beamed when we said how tasty they were. Staff members wanted to know how we were spending our day & gave us directions where to go, some of the directions were in mime due to our lack of understanding & were hilarious. I had a sore leg from an accident in 2025 & a staff member showed concern I'd hurt myself while on holiday. Areas for improvement We were not informed that the hotel bars would be closed. It would be helpful to include seasonal information in the hotel details to ensure guests are aware of this when making reservations. We were also surprised to find that the rooms lacked wardrobes or chests of drawers, providing only a wall-mounted rack with five coat hangers to be shared between two guests, leaving no space for underwear, swimwear & other items. Adding extra coat hangers & a chest of drawers in each room would be advantageous. Additionally, there was no shelf in the bathroom for storing toiletries. Our bathroom had ample space to accommodate a shelf. As we were departing early in the morning for our flight, leaving the hotel at 6:40am, we found the early breakfast arrangements to be quite confusing. This situation was particularly distressing & left us with a negative impression of our holiday. We were provided with a hot croissant & requested a bottle of water each to take with us. It was made clear that we should have paid for the water, although it was eventually given to us for free, considering we had already paid for breakfast when we booked the hotel we were shocked.

Our 4-night group stay at Piccolo Giardino in Taormina was excellent from start to finish. Great cooperation at every stage, both before arrival and on site. Giusy was exceptional: professional, flexible and always solution-oriented. You can really feel that everything is under control. The team was very friendly and helpful throughout the stay. Special thanks to Francesco for his support in a small unexpected situation. The hotel itself is a perfect choice for Taormina: great location, very good service and a spectacular rooftop with an amazing view. We also appreciated the extra touches like breakfast boxes prepared before our early departure, room service and small details like extra water. All these things make a real difference. I will definitely come back with future groups. Highly recommended.
