The "hotel" is more a "compound", somewhat isolated from town (20 min walk, or 5-10 minutes by bicycle). This means (as a plus) that the property is pretty quiet, but also means that there is "nothing" in the neighborhood - nearest rocky beach about 20 minutes walk away, nearest restaurant/shop/bar about 20 min walk away. The hotel is a bit.. hmmm.. "particular". The staff are friendly, The domain, rooms, pool area etc.. is clean and quiet. There is ample space in the inner court yards to sit and relax in between the trees and plants, with a lot of shade. While we were there (mid Sept), there were not many people around, so the whole compound and swimming pool area was quiet during the day. Very quiet. When booking a room, it is not possible to get an objective view of the room. Our room was much smaller than what was represented in the pictures of booking.com or tripadvisor. We only had a small window, looking into a narrow corridor/passage way, which people used to go to the swimming pool, so our only view was "a wall", 1 meter from our window. Parts of the wall in the room crumbled onto the bed (a comment I read in other reviews). The rooms are not well insulated so there is quite some noise from the other rooms during the day (as our window and door was in a corridor people used to walk to the pool, so it "sucked" in the noise of the other rooms in the vicinity). Noise insulation between the rooms was poor: During the night, the snoring of the guy in the neighbouring room kept me awake. The bar at the swimming pool was never open (and apparently had not been open during the whole season). The bar in the breakfast area was only open until 3 PM. There was no lunch, dinner nor snack served in the main bar. And most of the time the bar-tender was AWOL. The breakfast was "spartan". Overall the price/quality was unbalanced. We stayed for less money in a 4 star resort, in Trapani.

Absurd behavior on the part of the property; as soon as I arrived, they told me that my room was under renovation but that they would give me alternative accommodation. Faced with my disappointment when they showed me the room, they told me that they only had this. At that point, on 8/19 in Favignana without a car, what could I have done? I had to accept, but I strongly advise against this place; besides, the location is very beautiful but neglected and poorly maintained. Following my complaints to AGODA (the operator I booked with), whom I immediately turned to in order to get a refund of what I spent, I was told that the property reported that I accepted the stay, so everything is normal. I HAVE INSERTED SOME PHOTOS TAKEN BY ME, and compare them with those on the site, ABSURD.

I was immediately struck by Angelo's kindness and enthusiasm… we found simple but very clean rooms, top location. Angelo is always very quick to respond to any type of request and available to resolve everything! Highly recommended!!
