I went to the monastery for the famous sweets. The nun shows me a tray with the different types of dessert available including those of almond paste (also pistachio). He was annoyed and in a hurry. Embarrassed I asked her if she could make a small mixed tray. Result: in a bag 7 biscuits including 5 shortcrust pastry for 10 €. I do not make personal comments .......

The atmosphere we experienced in the guesthouse was a combination of spirituality and tranquility. The Spartan environment helped us to fully live that inner spirituality that brings you closer to the Lord without the need to go to Church. Sister Chiara did not miss anything: abundant and varied breakfast and delighted us with the homemade almond paste sweets that pampered us and made us feel at home.

Day trip to Agrigento. We found this gem. Here the nuns make typical Sicilian desserts according to secret and ancient recipes handed down over time. You enter the small shop through a door after having called and asked to buy the treats. We tried the sweet couscous that comes right within the walls of this monastery. Sweet really special, super cute and recommended experience.
Too bad it's little known, but it really deserves!
