The hotel was beautiful, I would not hesitate to return for a longer stay. The hotel is nestled on the hills near the Modonna della Rocca church with spectacular view of mount Etna, it is about 20-30 mins walk to the Taormina historical center, and the walk itself following the descending steps (not on the road, no cars) was a highlight for us, take your time and enjoy the view. The hotel provides shuttle services, after you walk down to the Taormina center and do your explorations, you can call the hotel shuttle and they will pick you up, so you don't have to climb back to the hotel. Our first room in Casa Da Vinci was huge (room 601 ), but has non-personality -- no paintings on the wall, not a lot of furnitures (just a couple of hard chairs and a small round table), it felt empty and soulless; also the window was facing to another building, and you had to come out on the balcony to have the view, btw the balcony was huge. Bathroom was big and modern. We switched rooms on the second day ( to room 201) in the building of Villa Angel. The room was great, smaller but with a lot of characters, mountain Etna was right in front of the balcony -- spectacular! The size of the balcony was very generous. Breakfast was great with a beautiful view. We had one dinner in the hotel, which was great too. The pool was really nice looking and decent size with a lot of sunbathing lounge chairs. Overall we really loved our stay.

We stayed at the Hotel Villa Angela in Taormina for four nights in late April 2026 on the third leg of a five week visit to Sicily. It is a very special hotel, located just above the hustle bustle of Taormina, with spectacular views of Taormina and Mt. Etna. It is a small hotel with an intimate, comfortable and unpretentious vibe. Our “deluxe” room was very clean and nicely furnished with an up-to-date bathroom and a spacious and furnished balcony with inspirational views of Mt. Etna. The hotel shuttle provided us with convenient service to both Taormina (below us) and Castelmola (above us). The dining room offers great views as well and the included breakfast buffet was very good. We also had three dinners at the hotel, but while the ambience was wonderful, the quality and service were inconsistent. Overall, a great hotel with fantastic views at a reasonable price.

This is an excellent hotel, with first class hospitality. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were lovely and clean, with an amazing view of Etna. We had a fabulous holiday and would recommend it to anyone. There are great views from every level and a lovely pool area. The food is also good, especially the evening meals. It is very high up, but is no issue with the hotel taxi service.
