Villa Dafne

The property is located in the countryside between Palermo and Agrigento, about an hour from the Sicilian capital. The exterior of the property is very beautiful. Equipped with a small playground for children, a tennis court, and a pool with a shallow water section. The rooms are large, furnished with antique-style furniture, but they should be renovated and made more functional: few power outlets, for example, and none near the nightstands. The bathroom is large but deserves a renovation: the faucets are old, and the bathtub with a shower curtain is not up to the price and the property. These are small adjustments that would make the property high-level. Let's move on to the restaurant. Our experience was not positive. Arriving on a Sunday, we could not have lunch at the restaurant because, even though it was written that it opened at 12:30, we were actually told that service would start once the dining room was full, which was by 2:00 PM, due to the fixed menu. Now, if the choice of a fixed menu on Sundays is legitimate, what in my opinion is not, is the simultaneous service for everyone, as if it were a reception. Moreover, if you are traveling with a small child, you will understand that such an arrangement is unacceptable. And in fact, my wife and I could not have lunch because of the rigidity of the service. Service, indeed, from the waiters and the staff managing the property was not particularly welcoming. Another sore point: it is inadmissible that a property that is far from everything and has almost nothing around it does not have a bar stocked with ice cream (in summer) or snacks for children! The restaurant service in the evening was also too slow. Breakfast was sufficient, but from a property that boasts remarkable quality, one would expect much more, both on the sweet and savory side. Also available to guests is a visit to the stables and the dairy managed by the facility: here the facility manager was professional and helpful, providing every piece of information: truly very good. In short, a few things would be enough to make the facility beautiful.

We spent 4 days at Villa Dafne to celebrate my husband's 60th birthday. Relaxation and serenity were the first things that impressed us. Not to mention the kindness of all the staff who fulfilled every one of our requests. The food was excellent also because 90% of the products come directly from the same farm that we also visited. What can I say... absolutely recommended!

We decided to escape the chaos of the city and were looking for a farmhouse with services for children. Villa Dafne proved to be the best of the farmhouses. High-quality food produced on-site. Immaculate rooms, a playground for children, and a pool for adults and children. The staff is always friendly, and the prices offer an excellent cost-quality ratio.
