Colle San Mauro

Beautiful location surrounded by greenery. Friendly staff, professionally trained and ready to try to resolve any issues that might arise. Comfortable, clean rooms with a good bed. Typical Sicilian cuisine with excellent raw materials and careful preparation. Various entertainment activities for adults and children. A special round of applause to Valentina in the dining room, to Sara, Vittoria, and Mauro from the staff, and to all the others who work hard and with dedication to make you feel at ease. Prices are average. I will return.

We came to this property, letting ourselves be convinced by the generally positive reviews. Disorganized place Animation and entertainment for children is absent; everything is reduced to 20 minutes in the morning and 20 in the afternoon of activities. An aperitif is offered before dinner on the terrace for those who choose full board and a rum tasting after dinner by the pool in the evening. Well, the whole thing would be a table with two bowls of potato chips and two pitchers of alcoholic and non-alcoholic aperitifs, to be served independently 😂 Waiter absent! Same story for the rum, a bottle put there by the pool with some empty glasses. Everything abandoned to itself, service absent. In the restaurant dining room there is only one waiter who takes care of everything Service of terrible quality! The rooms are cleaned with vinegar 🤷🏻‍♀️ The owner answered me rudely, telling us that vinegar is a natural disinfectant. In the room, the smell of vinegar is terrible! Furthermore, the playground for the kids and the petting zoo are unkempt, dirty, and everything is obsolete. The place is nice, but the property deserves more attention, more care, and better management! The management is improvised; it is not worth the money it costs. Poor breakfast; lunch and dinner are repetitive, always the same things. On the day of departure, we chose to have lunch à la carte; I advise against that too, a 30g plate of pasta for adults for €14, a ridiculous portion. The children's one is honest, instead, €8 for a generous portion of pasta with tomato sauce. In Sicily, we have better places! Highly unrecommended!

We usually travel outside of Sicily, but having only a few days available, we opted for a few days here in our region. A friend recommended this property to us, and we must say that the recommendation was more than spot on. Beautiful property, excellent location, cleanliness, courtesy, and wonderful hospitality. As for the food, what can we say... excellent, refined, and abundant from breakfast to dinner. The day is organized according to times for activities (for children and adults) that you are free to do or not. Pool always clean and open for guests until midnight. Not to mention the Spa: we chose to have a couple's massage, and the two massage therapists, Anna and Nathalie, were excellent, making the moment truly magical. Thanks for everything!!!! Top!
