Palazzo Gallo

Very large apartment with some maintenance problems, especially annoying appearance related to the boiler that always goes into block and you have to reset it to have hot water. However I recommend it for cleanliness and proximity to the Old Town.

My wife and I, visiting family in a hospital in Palermo, stayed in this hotel for almost 4 weeks. We found the service excellent. Our apartment was very comfortable, very clean, and excellent value. The staff were very efficient and friendly. Nothing was too much. Being in a central position, the hotel was central to most attractions, and once you got used to the bus service, it was easy to get around Palermo. If you are considering visiting Palermo, this is an ideal hotel.

We were looking for a central accommodation with good connections and separate bedrooms for Palermo. The Duomo Square / Norman Castle is within 20 minutes walking distance, the Chiesa di San Domenico in a few minutes. There are many shops, bars and restaurants all around. Palazzo Gallo immediately caught the eye with its design of the entrance area. The design of the accommodation in a mixture of traditional furniture and modern interior design appeals. The check-in with key collection was straightforward and fast. The reception is not open 24 hours a day, but in case of an emergency there is always a possibility of contact. The apartments can be easily reached by elevator if necessary. The apartment we booked was huge. Almost everything was double available. Two balconies, by bathroom. Very good. The rooms were mostly quite bright, on the upper floor the daylight came through skylights. The skylight in the bedroom could be electrically opened and also darkened. The beds are very comfortable, though quite soft. A little funny seems that there are no ceiling lamps in the entire apartment - except in the bathrooms and the hallway. Storage space offers the apartment more than enough. The cleanliness is outstanding. All premises were very well maintained. The equipment in the kitchen with cutlery / dishes was adequate. The technical equipment here was good. This room is also large and well usable. Showers are a bit tight for stable contemporaries. The water pressure in the cisterns is a bit low. For your stay in Palermo, Palazzo Gallo is a very good base for exploring the city. The value for money is excellent.
