Splendid La Torre

The hotel's location is spectacular, and just for the access to the Direct ocean access and the pool are worth it, but the building and facilities need a renovation for the price you pay.

After reading some of the reviews we were a little skeptical but since staying we were pleasantly surprised. Yes the beds are hard but we asked at reception for a mattress topper and the maid service provided this no problem. There was an event at the hotel and we were rudely told that we couldn’t sit on the terrace and we had to sit at the tables at the back. No problem at all but we told the member of staff that his attitude was unacceptable and he immediately apologised. Don’t be afraid to call out bad behaviour! The decor is a little dated but so what. The hotel itself is superb, situated in an amazing location with stunning views all round. I would’ve given it 5 stars but the staff need to up their game in customer service. Overall a lovely stay.

I stayed at this property in both July and August and spent two very pleasant vacation periods in contact with the sea and with the spectacular view of the Gulf of Mondello and Mount Pellegrino, which can be fully enjoyed from the sea-view room I chose. Rich, varied breakfast with quality products: from cakes to croissants, from cheeses to fruit... The restaurant is also worth it for the dishes offered, especially those of the Palermitan tradition, and for the delicious ice cream. Staff generally courteous and helpful. I particularly mention Ms. Carla and Mr. Maurizio at the reception. We will definitely be back!
