Le Plejadi

I am writing this review because Mr. Marcello, after contacting us privately, blocked us from contact so as not to receive our replies (I am attaching a screenshot). We had a terrible, and I emphasize terrible, experience. We booked for two nights at the property, convinced by the excellent reviews that one can read both here and on Booking. As soon as we arrived, we were welcomed in a super kind and warm way, just as a perfect host should do, it's a pity that the mask then fell off. A single inconvenience is enough for that same kindness to turn into arrogance. After getting settled and acclimated in the room (a fragrant and very welcoming room), we decided to go out to visit Castellammare del Golfo, and upon our return, unfortunately, we noticed two small cockroaches in the bathroom, but that's okay... it happens, they are not rare things... so much so that we decided to overlook it and notify them of the problem the following morning. Unfortunately, we noticed that there weren't just two insects, but slowly, from somewhere, others were coming out. So at that point, we decided to call the host to try to find a solution. Unfortunately, bad luck would have it that as we approached the bed, we found an insect, similar to a larva, on the pillow. I would like to clarify, to be fair, that upon our arrival the sheets were very fragrant and we did not notice anything strange at first glance. In order not to create unnecessary problems, I would have preferred to overlook this too, by removing the insect from the pillow and, being squeamish, putting a beach towel on the pillow. But upon lifting the sheets, we found others. Well, this is not okay, so we called the host and made clear our intention to leave the property and find other accommodation, even though it was midnight. Still to be fair, we also communicated that we had stained the sheets, and Marcello reassured us not to worry and that obviously he wouldn't be bothered by these things, but then he wrote us the message and even threw it in our faces in the response to the review on Booking, moreover insinuating I don't know what. And we paid for cleaning, quite generously too, since from the overnight stay (which did not happen!) he deducted 94€. Up to here, everything is okay. We arrive at the moment of the necessary review; he responds in a way that is not arrogant, but more than that... perhaps he realized it and deleted it so as not to give himself bad publicity. Not satisfied, after a few hours he contacts us on WhatsApp "reproaching" us and blocks us without even receiving a response from us. I would say that is enough.

Excellent structure and the owner is great, present and kind. Superb sweet and savory breakfasts.

We spent a week in this structure adjacent to the historic center with a suggestive passage in Corso Garibaldi where you are catapulted from the bedroom to the historic center through the most famous stone ice cream parlor where Giuseppe Garibaldi was passing and from where the street rich in craft activities, wonderful, takes its name among the steep streets of the center. Marcello will make you feel at home, helpful and especially a cicerone of arancini and cassatelle. Rely on him and your holiday will be fantastic Thanks for everything Marcello and thanks Antonella for your presence We will always remember you for your hospitality With respect... Alessandro, Samantha, Lorenzo and Violante!
