Where to start... it was hot and the aircon didn't work, called reception and they weren't helpful, our room stank of cigarettes, beds were uncomfortable with stones for pillows, shower, it has to be the smallest in Europe (and I lived in Europe for over a decade), we felt like sardines in a tin, tiny outdated room, also found dirt beneath out beds!, the worst hotel I ever stayed, no worth the hassle.

Where do i start..firstly the room doors are hit and miss. Can I get in can i not get in. Messing around with the key every time. The room I was in was a single room and very small, no space at all. The window had a shutter on it so could not get any natural light. The bathroom needs updating, the shower had more water coming out of the side than the actual shower head. On first arriving, the toilet seat had yellow stains on it, dry pee that had not been cleaned. Now the noise. This was awful. The walls are paper thin and you can hear everything, EVERYTHING. Farting, sex, conversations, people trying to get in to their rooms (keys playing up) I was woken up several times in the night and did not get much sleep. I know to expect some noise in hotels, but this place is another level. The hotel is located by a duel carriage way so noise from the roads as well. It is about an hour walking to anything of substance. There is also no shuttle bus from the hotel to the airport so you can only get a taxi or walk over an hour to get the.bus. taxi cost between 30 and 35 euro. I travel a bit and I have to say this is the worst hotel have I have ever stayed in. If you have already booked this hotel, bring anti bacterial wipes and good ear plugs! I will never stay here again and would not reccomend it. Only plus point is staff are friendly and breakfast is free with a good selection of food. Be warned!

It was good hotel in the edge of Catania. The room was small but OK anyway, clean and nice with comfortable beds. The staff, apart from one, was very nice and helpful. My friend have a little problem to go and the staff looked at to give us the room right opposite the lift so it was perfect. Wifi worked good. Breakfast could be a little better, maybe for Italian people it was good with all cakes and sweet things, but for other who are not used to eat sweet to breakfast it was quite poor breakfast. Not even egg, though egg would be included, as it was written on booking site. Pitty that the terrace was not possible to enjoy it, it was closed. It would be nice to sit there, relax and admire surrounding, the sea and Etna also.
