The old town location of this hotel was perfect. We had a corner room with dual balconies with views of the cathedral and piazza. The room was spacious, clean and well appointed. The service - especially by Frederico - was excellent - before, during and after our stay. Highly recommend this hotel.

The rooms, the ambiance, the roof top terrace and the views all surpass expectations. But above all, it is the care and attention of the hosts, Federico and Vittorio, that really makes a stay at Palazzo Villelmi special. Put yourself in their hands for restaurant suggestions and table booking, beach lido recommendations (or the public beach) and excursions - for instance to Castelbuono. Nothing is too much trouble, and their responsiveness and organisation is like NASA Control... (See photo, including one with arrow showing the location of the remarkable rooftop terrace.)

Very good and central location close to the cathedral. Very friendly welcome. But... The description on the website raises great expectations, but honestly comes across as quite imposterous. The entrance and the many narrow steep stairs up to the reception do not really have anything Palazzo-like. Most disturbing, however, were the intense, foul sewage odors in the reception (which also serves as a so-called salotto) and in the room itself. The stench is due to old pipes and - as in our case - is amplified by certain weather/wind conditions. Price-performance are not right at all, at least in the absolute low season - as in our case.
