Atahotel Naxos Beach

I love this hotel. It has beautiful gardens, views of Mount Etna, its right on the beach and you can always get a parasol and 2 sunloungers because of their very organised allocation system. There are also lifeguards permanently stationed in the middle of the hotels beach area. There are lots of swimming pools, one of which is an enormous Olympic sized one. This is the reason I returned here as I've never seen a larger pool anywhere else. The restaurant is buffet style and we never had a problem with finding a place to sit or with choosing from a wide range of food. In the hotel you can book trips to many of the Wonderful places of interest that Sicily has to Offer. On this visit we visited the Valley of the Temples in Agrigento. Though trips to Mount Etna are probably the top of most peoples wish list. There is a shuttle bus, free, from the hotel up to the beautiful town of Taormina every day and back. Here you can visit the Roman Theatre and do some serious shopping! Its about a 10 min walk to a Supermarket and shops and to the Bus Terminal, where you can catch the local bus and go into the nearest town of Giardini Naxos. There is always plenty to do here. The staff are friendly, speak English and there is some Entertainment every evening. Really enjoyed the Sicilian Puppet Theatre. Most of the people staying here are Italian, German, other European and English, which makes for a great balance. Book it.

The staff is very kind and friendly, the breakfast is rich, and the garden, pools, bar, and restaurants are well-cared-for and well-maintained. The central building, however, urgently needs to be overhauled. The rooms are renovated but the common areas like hallways with light green carpet 😵‍💫, elevators, and furniture on the floors and in the lobby are embarrassing. The beach restaurant opens at 1 p.m.... a time not indicated for those traveling with children.

A wonderful stay at UNAHOTELS Naxos Beach Sicilia We had a lovely stay. The team were fantastic, welcoming, friendly and always happy to help. The food was excellent, especially considering the number of guests the hotel caters for, with delicious homemade pastries and plenty of Sicilian flavours. The bars were lovely, everything was kept clean and our towels were changed daily. The hotel has a private beach and a section guests can use free of charge. It’s pebbly, so I’d recommend bringing beach shoes. The hotel is about a 20 minute walk from Giardini Naxos village. A visit to Taormina is well worth it and a guided trip to Mount Etna is a must. The concierge team can help arrange excursions and Desiree was especially helpful with her recommendations. We really enjoyed our stay, thought it offered great value for money and would happily return.
