Tenuta Volpara

What a great week we had at the Tenuta! We were a group of thirty, ages ranging from 6 to 86, plus our dog! The accomodation and service catered for all our varied needs. A special thanks to Maria Grazia at reception and Angelo the head waiter, for ensuring that we had all that we required. As we were celebrating two birthdays, we organised a Hawaiian themed party at the Tenuta's swimming pool area. The venue was lovely and set the scene for a great party. Catering was provided by the tenuta's excellent chef and we had a memorable night of music, dance and plenty of food! It is worth mentioning that works in the grounds are ongoing to upgrade the children's play area, so this place will have more attactions.

The tenuta offers typical agriturismo-style basic accommodation but it is very clean and the rooms are all air-conditioned. Lovely pool area - ample parking and resident donkeys, goats, hens and ducks for the joy of the kids.Children play area was undergoing works when we visited but I am sure it will be great. The location is very good since it is around fifteen minutes from Marsala, half an hour to 40 minutes from Trapani/Erice and within relatively easy reach of San Vito lo Capo and if you fancy a longer ride even Palermo. The staff are certainly a plus point with the ever helpful Maria Grazia at reception, the smiling and gifted chef who occasionally comes out for a chat with the diners and the patient Angelo and other waiting staff who showed great cordiality and patience.A major plus point is that the food at the Tenuta is excellent and the choice is big as is the choice of wines.

Having just spent 7 nights with family & friends at this charming Tenuta, all I have is praise for the friendly service from all the staff, especially Maria Grazia, who helped make this vacation a memorable stay in Sicily. The accommodation is good, very clean and the food served is of good quality, ample and good value for money. The swimming pool area is lovely. I would not hesitate to visit the Volpara again.
