Torre Don Virgilio Resort

What a wonderful three night stay! We loved the friendliness of all the staff, the room was clean, comfortable and good amount of space, and the food was simply spectacular. While it is located remotely in the countryside it was a perfect base for exploring the region. We came home each afternoon to the swimming pool the relax after our driving around the local towns and sights. The food was standout! We had the Five course Tasting Menu for dinner the first night and loved every dish. We dined there each of the following two nights trying different dishes and different wines and were delighted every time. Breakfasts were equally delicious with plenty of choices. Highly recommended.

Certainly a very beautiful location, delicious breakfasts, service the same. Not suitable for children, we were bullied for two days by foreign guests because they complained about the children. In the end, the guy from Northern Europe even dared to lay hands on me. Basically, in this hotel and especially in the pool, you have to stay in perfect silence. And forget about disabled people, my autistic son was annoying just because of his vocalizations. The resort did not protect us; on the contrary, they only cared about the reviews. That said, for me, it is a resort suitable only for adults or for practically mute children.

We used the Smartbox package and could not have made a better choice. A place immersed in greenery and tranquility. The staff was very kind. The dinner was exquisite, the portions were generous, and above all, the dishes were unique; I absolutely recommend the citrus and shrimp risotto. We have a one-year-old baby who was an “extra,” and they were very kind to add a crib and high chair during our stay. The place offers several relaxation spots with wicker chairs and armchairs or large cushions in the middle of the lawn. The only flaw is that the pillows in the room are a bit uncomfortable (too soft).
