This hotel was sufficient for our 4 nights in Palermo. The location was perfect for getting around by foot. Unfortunately this hotel is barely a 3.5 star hotel and not a true 4 star. To start, there's no bell hop at the door and while there are elevators, they're awkwardly positioned above a set of stairs which makes carrying luggage uncomfortable. The superior rooms are sized well, but lacked some basic care. For instance the baseboards were dirty and could use freshening up (see pics). The shower heads were far from luxurious and were cheap, lightweight and plastic with some noticeable wear. Water was provided upon arrival (membership awards) but never replenished during our stay which we thought could have been a nice touch. Yes, water and prosecco are available in the lobby, but leaving some in the room would be a nice way for guests to rehydrate in the 95 degree heat. The rooms had robes and slippers, but toiletries were never replenished during our stay. For example, plastic shower caps were used during the first two days and never replenished. Lastly, the art of making a bed was definitely lost here bc our bed was always sloppy and loose noting that whoever was making it had no idea how to do so correctly. On our first night the power went out but none of the emergency lights came on as we waited for the power to come back making for a potentially dangerous situation. The front desk personnel were efficient and kind. Breakfast was fine.

My wife and I stayed for a week in June 2026. Generally a mediocre hotel, 3 star at best. Pros: Central location Friendly reception staff Spacious room Good AC in the room Fairly good comfortable mattress and quiet overnight but some noise in the mornings Cons: Breakfast was lacklustre and a bit tired looking - only one granola/muesli option, limited hot food selection which was unappetising, Had asked for a quiet room but disturbance from noise in the morning from above due to breakfast rooms being set up from 7.30am onwards and then work being done in the hotel from 8.30am onwards for the last few days of our stay Shower temperature changed rapidly between extremes of temperature Hotel decor looks dated and tired

This hotel has been set up in the former Palazzo Tarallo, which retains its original structures, thus creating a truly unique space adorned with frescoes and period furniture. Very good location with direct access to the pedestrian tourist street and not far from the main tourist sites. Room overlooking the inner courtyard, so no noise. Very good restaurants near the hotel. The reception hall and lounges add to the charm of this hotel. Spacious room with a comfortable bed; a small downside: it should be noted that a renovation of the shower is necessary (poor pressure). Very good, hearty, and varied breakfast.
