Apart from the fairly good location, at check-in I found a very friendly and professional girl. After that, the negative points are quite numerous. Area not really in the center of Palermo (actually), old structure, to say the least dilapidated, very uncomfortable bed, unacceptable pillows, shower stall very small also because of a sort of large shower head that takes up so much space. The worst thing of all was the breakfast… not even in a B&B is it so poor and poorly maintained. Very slow elevator as it is the only one and, among other things, it is also used by the staff with the laundry cart (truly absurd).

Hotel located in an unhealthy neighborhood, frequented by dealers who whistle when you approach, neighbor to a bar with a clientele that is more than noisy and this late into the night, completely preventing you from sleeping despite the earplugs provided, but only 1 pair for 2 occupants!!! The parking lot is not part of the hotel: a man not part of the hotel accompanied us there in our car, asked us to pay in cash, got into a verbal altercation with a woman who seems to be responsible for this parking lot, she at least has the keys, then left us there. We then had to walk through this neighborhood of dealers to get back to the hotel, absolutely not reassuring. The hotel itself is a bit old-fashioned. It does not look very clean, stains on the bed duvet. The towels smell bad. The breakfast room is in the same vein, the curtains are dirty, the room is not welcoming and the buffet does not look very fresh. Everything is dry, even the sliced bread. Avoid at all costs!!!

Hotel Vecchio Borgo is located in a ordinary, but safe neighborhood a short distance from the center. We were kindly received at the reception. The room was beautiful, spacious, and well-maintained. Everything worked properly and there was also enough hot water in the morning. The bed was comfortable and of good quality. The breakfast offered a wide choice and the coffee was very tasty. In short, a pleasant hotel with spacious rooms, friendly staff, and a good location to visit the city.
