Agriturismo Gigliotto

This was the second to last accommodation of our 14-day tour of Sicily, unfortunately the worst by far. Upon our arrival, we were informed that the pool could not be used due to the rain in the past few days. This was disappointing for us, as we had arrived in the afternoon after a long drive and wanted to relax a bit by the pool. Strangely, there were no loungers by the pool, except for a single broken one. Of course, there were also no umbrellas or anything similar, so we spent the afternoon in our room. The room furnishings were very simple. Unfortunately, there were some defects as well as mold in the bathroom. The water had a very unpleasant smell, making it not really enjoyable to shower there. The grounds were partly very unclean. For example, there was bird droppings everywhere on the path leading from our accommodation to the restaurant. We also had dinner there. Overall, it was good. However, the salad did not look freshly cut, but rather as if it came from a bag, as it already had brown edges. My meat was very tough. Overall, it was very plentiful. The main building, where the restaurant is located, actually looked very good and well-maintained overall. It's a pity that so little attention is paid to the details. We canceled the second night and left early. Perfect for special occasions – an unforgettable 15th.

Very disappointed we spent 35euro each and we ate almost nothing much better spring as a farm there I will not go anymore

Fantastic experience, a four-day stay. In March it is still very quiet at this agriturismo, but it is a great base for visiting the beautiful places in the area (Piazza Armerina, Villa Romana del Casale, Caltagirone, Enna). Excellent room, delicious food, both breakfast and dinner. We (with our dog) felt very welcome and the staff were always very friendly. Very reasonable price too!
