Camping La Pineta

I booked at the campsite for the last week of August but due to an accident I had to postpone my departure to the first week of September. They did not refund the excess amount of the booking (September obviously cost less) but they allowed me to use it at the restaurant and the market. Too bad, I am a vegetarian and although it was confirmed to me that they would find me suitable dishes, this happened ONLY for 2 nights. The remaining 7 nights I had to take exclusively pasta with vegetables or pizza. Very expensive prices, moreover, and one evening they even made me pay €25 for a pasta dish with pistachio sauce (the original recipe that cost that amount contained shrimp, but obviously I asked them not to include them). Consider that the fixed menu with a first course, second course, side dish, and dessert cost 30 euros. I spent that much on one pasta dish because they were unable to provide the 3 courses for me as well (and given the credit I had, I would have had the right to also do the "half-board" option). Dishes were nonetheless abundant and excellent. The baby club, absolutely inadequate. Play area locked with a padlock at various times of the day and especially in the evening until 9:30/9:45 PM, not giving children the chance to have fun after dinner. The baby dance was supposed to start at 9:30 PM (already very late), but it often didn't start until 10:00 PM (the last night it started at 10:20 PM at my request!). Definitely a different Sicily in this campsite, much less welcoming than the one I was used to. Sara

We stayed at this campsite and overall we had a good experience. The rooms are beautiful, clean, and well-kept, as is the campsite, which is well-maintained. We took advantage of the full board and were very satisfied: the restaurant offers a wide choice and a good variety of dishes, all very good. Another strong point is certainly the staff, always very helpful, kind, and attentive to the guests' needs. However, there are some aspects that, in our opinion, could be improved. The shower in the room is rather small and there is no handheld showerhead, which we found inconvenient. Above all, we expected more from the entertainment, particularly for the children. We found it rather poor and of a quality not on par with the rest of the facility. The baby dance, for example, hardly ever started before 9:30 PM and it was often necessary to ask the entertainers to start: it seemed like they were waiting for the children to arrive at the theater before turning on the music. The play area was also opened very late, generally after 9 PM, just when it would have been most useful for families with small children. Another thing that would be useful to communicate clearly upon arrival concerns the pool: we had not been told that swim caps were mandatory to use it, so we only discovered it later. Finally, the possibility of renting bicycles is indicated, but when we asked to use them, we were told that they were not available at the moment because maintenance was not being performed. It would therefore be better to update guests in advance about the actual availability of the service. In conclusion, a very beautiful, clean, and well-organized facility in many respects, with excellent cuisine and truly kind staff. It is a pity about some shortcomings in the services dedicated to families and children, which in our opinion could be easily improved and would make the stay even more pleasant. I stayed from August 27 to September 3. Perfect place, clean and well organized. I asked the management why men and boys enter the pool in their underwear because it is not hygienic to enter the pool in underwear while it is forbidden to enter with underwear in all pools; they did not answer me. I did not even take a swim in the pool because it disgusted me and I did not want to catch unknown diseases. I therefore ask the management to post a sign not to enter the pool in underwear but to wear regular swimsuits. For the rest, it was a beautiful vacation; I think I will return.
