Solaris Bed & Breakfast

Solaris’s hosts, Lidia and Alberta, welcomed us warmly, provided home made Sicilian food and could not do enough to make our 2 week stay more pleasant. We chose the Papavero apartment which had a large balcony with panoramic views of the sea and surrounds. Solaris is the place to stay in Sciacca. Handily placed to visit Agrigento and Selinunte etc.

I went with the family, 1 week in the area, very nice accomodation, the apartment had all we need and easy to see many sights around, beaches, historical and food. Definatevely a place I would recommend if you are around Sciacca.

Myself and a friend stayed with Lidia and Alberto in August and it could not have felt more like home! We spoke very little Italian but could still sit with Lidia, who told us to call her Mama, for hours and enjoy each others company. Not only do we get home cooked scones, breakfast treats and bread every morning, but Lidia was kind enough to cook a meal of real Italian spaghetti for us. The couple could not be more helpful, even taking us to the city center to find and make photo copies of the birth records of my family members from Sciacca. The trip was an absolute dream and the location - very close to the city center, and amenities, were outstanding! I will miss Lidia and Alberto!
