Antica Gebbia

Structure located in a quiet area, away from traffic, but at the same time a few minutes drive from beaches and city center. The reception was exceptional and the breakfast rich and varied. Very nice experience, ideal for families with children.

Generally I do not venture into reviews as each experience has characteristics and modes of development that could be, at the same time, extremely positive for some and totally negative for others, for the same offer. I overlook (but not so much if I'm here to write it) the kindness and helpfulness of the owners and Mr. father, careful to satisfy every curiosity about the structure and the place, even the authenticity and abundance of breakfast with proposals for very interesting local preparations, the cleanliness of the room, as well as the silence that reigns from sunset to dawn. I find myself here writing about a place that from beautiful could become enchanting if only a little more attention was paid to the details (this is also a personal perception so everyone could have their own or even not have it!). One above all, intervene on the noise of fan coils: for someone with a damn light sleep like mine that noise means not sleeping. Or turn it off! Always available to give my contribution because, if I were to return to the area, I would choose it again.

Upon our arrival we were assigned a quadruple room characterized by an unbearable smell of moisture and mold. We then asked to have an alternative room and the owner of the facility, after checking the condition of another room, assigned it to us. Once we entered the replacement room we could see that the sheets were dirty, clearly used by other people, the bathroom had not been cleaned at all, the conditions were absolutely pitiful, the shower plate full of treads and the toilets full of hair and hair. Pointing out to the owner the terrible conditions of the room, the lady said that the room was not ready, so not clean, and that we had been assigned only for our complaints about the humidity and mold of the other room. I can't believe we've been handed a room that hasn't been cleaned yet. Despite our repeated requests for a clean room, in the following days the towels were simply changed. In fact, we realized the missed cleaning because we found the same dirt of the first day, even under the bed. Air conditioners do not have a remote control, so at night it is very pleasant to have to get up to turn them off. We were given a rusty clothesline that stained some of our clothes. The pool, although pleasant, should be maintained, the beds in fact are old and split, so that one of our towels has totally torn. Positive notes: hearty breakfast, pleasant pool and great silence. Extreme kindness of Eleanor, always available and smiling.
