Sleep In Sicily B&B

I forgot to write the review about this awful place at the time, but now here I am. The B&B is very very basic (you can read it in the other reviews) but the worst thing is the behaviour of the owner. He smiles a lot, until you dare not to follow his "advice" about restaurants. When we told him that we went to dine to another restaurant, he immediately changed his attitude We wrote a review on booking and he replied with arrogance: he used the words "dumb and stupid" to define us. In short, if you do want he wants you to do, everything is OK. Some tourists are quite naive and be confused by his smiles, but if you just ask for something (i.e. an extra towel, better cleaning of the room) be prepared to his reaction. Again, use the translation tools to read how he replies to criticism (both on Tripadvisor and on Booking.com): the evidence is just there.

We have stayed in countries all over the world, often seeking lesser priced, affordable rooms. We have never been in a room as bad as this one. The bedding was damp and uncomfortable, the shower only dribbled water. Our door was secured with a 3/4” padlock. Ortigia has many old buildings but if you are going to rent out rooms the building should be clean, well lit and without broken windows, etc. This was not and being a budget accommodation is not an excuse. In our opinion it should be removed from the booking site.

Perfect location, spacey room, very well cleaned bathroom, good equipped (fridge, air conditioner, hair dryer). Our room had inner closed outside garden like space with small table and chairs good for morning coffee or before bad glass of wine. We had quiet stay and no interruptions whatsoever. The host Massimo let us check in earlier then expected and gave us a map and guided us through the city. Recommended.
