Our stay at Palazzo Vecchio Taormina was truly unforgettable. The hotel is in an amazing location, and every aspect of our experience exceeded our expectations. The front desk staff was absolutely fantastic. Their communication was phenomenal both leading up to our trip and throughout our stay. They took care of booking beach trips for us, answered every question (a man d there were a lot), booked off site hair apts, and made everything feel completely effortless. Their level of care became especially clear one night around 12:30 a.m., when my husband had a pill stuck in his throat (we realize how ridiculous this was..) I called the front desk because the only cure was for him to eat to help push it down. Within two minutes, someone raced to our room carrying several different options. We were incredibly grateful and will never forget how quickly and compassionately they responded. Housekeeping was equally amazing. Our room was always immaculate, beautifully maintained, and thoughtfully cared for. The entire housekeeping team did an exceptional job throughout our stay. The restaurant was also fantastic. We thoroughly enjoyed both breakfast and dinner, and the food and service were consistently excellent. Palazzo Vecchio Taormina is a beautiful hotel with an exceptional team that genuinely cares about its guests. We cannot speak highly enough of our experience and would return without hesitation.

Travel-By-John

On arrival to hotel you exit your taxi/private hire car at the end of a pedestrian street, a short walk to the hotel. If you contact the hotel you will be met by a staff member and they will carry your luggage. The start of a special trip. A 3 minute walk and 20 steps will bring you to the front of the hotel. Its hidden off the main pedestrian street with all its top shops and bars. A perfect location to explore. Small hotel but very friendly staff all speaking good english as my Italian was basic at best. Our room was on third floor and gave a beautiful vista of the sea and the old roof tops. Room was comfortable and cool at night with working air con if needed. Tv with a few English channels, mostly news. In our bathroom we had shower no bath and it was lovely with rainfall attachment and plentiful products in separate bottles, not attached to the wall. Breakfast was on 1st floor and staff were attentive and friendly. Food was excellent and ordered from an a la carte menu. Very quiet area and was very spacious. Rooftop bar is lovely for a drink in the evening when it opens with its view of Mt Etna. We didn't stay too long up there, as the drinks are expensive and there is much better atmosphere in the lovely restaurants and bars only a few steps away. The hotel will organise an 8 seater minibus to bring you down to the beach just a few meters from the hotel. Beach and trip are 50 euro per person per day. Beach is approx 15 min drive down the hill and its a small stone beach so beach shoes are handy, though not necessary. Beach bar has shoes ones that people leave behind.

I fell for it again for the third year; I returned to this splendid reality. I looked for alternatives just to change things up, but none offered the same mix of beautiful things as Taormina and Palazzo Vecchio: luxury, tranquility, excellent food, top-notch staff, and a city that is always wonderful. Every year, this hotel is capable of providing you with a beautiful experience, and the staff, coordinated by a fantastic manager, is a guarantee for a top stay. There are many luxury realities in Taormina, but none can offer you the experience of Palazzo Vecchio.
