Villa Carmelas

Cleanliness, precision, nothing was missing in the house, the view is wonderful, the owners very kind, there is a lot of tranquility. We will definitely return. We have never seen such a beautiful structure .. congratulations!

We stayed here as Taormina town itself was closed for the G7 on our arrival date - but we were not disappointed. It is in a lovely location by the beaches below Taormina. 15 mins walk to the beautiful Isola Bella nature reserve & 10 mins walk to the cable car station which will take you up to the town for 3 euros pp each way. Veronica is a great host and gave us an informative welcome with a map and talked to us about the local hot spots. Lots of car parking on site. Easy to find if driving. My only criticism was the shower facilities. We are all quite tall and my partner is really broad too. The shower was confining and the shower curtain kept getting in the way. But loads of space throughout the apartment, loads of storage space and the bed and fold out sofa was comfy. Air con was great. Great peaceful seaside spot with easy access to the town

Reason to take this apartment for me was that Isola Bella is in walking distance and parking for a big car in a very hard to park area. The walk to Isola Bella is 1000+ m / 15 minutes, mostly on road sidelines and is dangerous and not easy with kids. Parking in Villa Carmelas is easy, safe and free. The place has several apartments in different sizes. Our apartment #5 was a nice very big apartment with a double bed in 1 room, double bed + 2 single beds in a 2nd room. 2 bathrooms, a large kitchen,large dining/living area and large terrace with some sea view. Equipped with air conditioning, washing machine. Railroad is just after the fence but we where okay with it. Reception is English speaking, nice and helpful.
