Residence Cortile Merc

If it were possible to give zero, I would have done it. Nonexistent cleanliness and rude staff. Stay away.

Nightmare experience: 5 out of 5 rooms dirty and rude staff We booked 5 rooms for a group stay in Trapani, attracted by the photos that showed a clean environment. The reality turned out to be a nightmare: all 5 rooms were visibly dirty. Specifically, we found: First and second room: stained sheets, hair everywhere (in the beds, in the bathrooms, and even inside the minibar). Third and fourth room: shower trays covered in a layer of grime, unwashed floors, a strong smell of mold, nauseating food odors, and towels that smelled like fried food. Fifth room: conditions completely similar to the others. After our reports, instead of providing a real sanitization, the staff's "solution" was to remove a few hairs and turn the dirty sheets over to the foot side, hoping we wouldn't notice. When we asked the receptionist to check in person, his response was indignant, calling us "picky" and arrogantly advising us to go to a 4-star hotel if we wanted a clean bed. We decided to stay only for the first night (having paid a 50% deposit) and leave for the rest of the vacation. Fortunately, we refused to pay the full amount at check-in. Property absolutely not recommended: zero hygiene and zero respect for the customer.

Very well-located courtyard. The historic center of Trapani is easily reachable on foot. Large and clean room. Excellent welcome, in particular Francesco, who is nice, polite, and hospitable. Very good at suggesting places for us to visit. We recommend it without a doubt, with great pleasure. Thank you Francesco!
