The property completely lacks care, maintenance, and cleanliness. We had booked one night through Booking, given the reviews (8.5). We were in room 7: indecent bathroom, all the faucets are oxidized, the bidet drain didn't work, the shower tray was rusty, the linens were frayed. The breakfast was minimal with many industrial products and little care. Whoever was at the reception was not at all informed about the island and did not ask us anything regarding our stay. It would have been better if we had checked out immediately, but fatigue sometimes plays tricks.

Very welcoming hotel in perfect Aeolian style. Very clean and essential. Very kind and always available staff. The hotel is a 7-minute walk from the port and the town center. Very quiet rooms; ours had a patio available with a small table and chairs and space to hang out swimsuits. Good sweet and savory breakfast. The “Luigi” car rental offers discounted rates to hotel guests

9 years later I returned to the island and chose Hotel Aura again, playing it safe to have a top experience on the island! Exactly as I remembered, very kind and friendly staff, large and comfortable rooms, everything clean! The pool is super clean with palm trees and flowers around it, I think they renovated a bit, I will return again!
