Rooms with old furniture, air conditioning that didn't work well... noisy and with no way to change the settings.

Splendid location, property that needs a serious renovation The true strong point of Hotel Conti is certainly its location, directly on the splendid Black Sands bay of Vulcano. Precisely for this reason, it is a shame that, at least as far as our experience is concerned, the property and the services turned out to be well below expectations. The room and the bathroom appeared very dated to us and in need of maintenance. As the photographs taken during our stay show, we found window frames with obvious cracks, deteriorated finishes, a very marked bathroom mirror, and decidedly worn-out furnishings. The chair in the room was emblematic, with the seat heavily worn, stained, and torn in several places. Rest was also uncomfortable: very uncomfortable beds with old, sagging mattresses, which for us compromised the quality of our sleep, so much so that we requested a replacement, which was done with a slightly newer mattress. The breakfast was also disappointing, with limited choice and budget-friendly pre-packaged pastries, with slices left over from the day before placed on top of the new package. A method that left us perplexed and that does not correspond to the care we expected from a three-star hotel property. During our stay, we also personally heard other guests expressing complaints about various aspects of the property. Our evaluation therefore does not concern the location, which is beautiful, nor the hotel's position, which is truly privileged, but the conditions of the accommodation, the comfort, and the overall quality of the services received. With a serious renovation, the replacement of the most deteriorated furnishings, and greater attention to the quality of the breakfast, the property would certainly have great potential.

The tour wouldn't be bad in itself, but the rooms are too neglected and old, we have the impression that tour groups and individual travelers are treated differently, for example regarding meal service, observing that individual tourists or families are served the best there is, while the tour gets the leftovers. Always the same foods, round and round, nothing typical. They don't even give us coffee while at the table, let's say. Singles yes, the air conditioner leaks water, the. The hair dryer doesn't dry a thing even though it's new, the power outlets are falling apart, the safe is jammed and cannot be opened.
